Our first version, fern-0.1: provides real-time expert opinions on demand, instant task delegation, zero interruptions. All as fast as ChatGPT voice and Gemini live.
Fern is a real time AI that runs sales playbooks live in a sales call so any person can function as a top sales person. During the call, Fern will listen to the conversation and provide realtime coaching and help the sales person with questions about product, competitors and discovery. It’s like having a senior AE on every call giving suggestions in the background.
The company shifted from building a general-purpose multimodal AI assistant for any real-time conversation to a specialized realtime AI meeting assistant focused specifically on sales calls, targeting sales professionals and the sales enablement market. This represents a meaningful change in primary customer and market, even though some technical continuity exists in the realtime voice/AI assistant core.
